Yogi Bhajan was a spiritual master, known as a dynamic catalyst for the evolution of human consciousness. He was a humanist who broke a brahmanic rule of secrecy about Kundalini Yoga. He taught this technique openly and democratically, and his work is recognized by great spiritual teachers. Poet, philosopher, prophet, sage, healer, above all else he was a teacher. He stated directly: “I have come here not to gather students but to create teachers.”
The postures in Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan®, also called asanas, form angles and triangles with the body. Those stimulate the energy flow of the eight chakras (energy centers interconnected of the body) and lead one to meet with the totality of the self. These postures relax and stretch the muscles and prepare the person to enter fastest in the meditative process.
